Boosted Listings
Boost is an optional promotional tool that pushes your listing higher in search results and buyer feeds. You only pay if your item sells while boosted.
What boosting does
Priority in search results
Boosted listings float to the top of Browse, Fresh Finds, and search matches for buyers looking at your category, brand, or size.
More visibility
Your listing gets seen by more buyers who are actively shopping for something like it, which typically means faster likes, offers, and sales.
What it costs
A 10% total boosting fee applies only if you sell while boosted.
Turning boost on is free. You are only charged if your item sells within 28 days of activating boost, or within 28 days of a buyer viewing the item while it was boosted. If the item never sells in that window, you pay nothing.
The full breakdown of fees appears on your seller earnings page after each sale, so you always see exactly what you netted before the payout lands.
The 28-day window
A buyer who views your boosted listing counts as attributed for 28 days from that view. If they come back and buy within that window, the boost fee applies, even if you turned boost off in the meantime.
This means you can safely toggle boost on for a week or two, get the extra visibility, and turn it off, knowing that buyers who discovered your listing via boost still count toward your promotion investment.
How to turn boost on or off
- Open your listing (or the sell form when creating a new one)
- Find the "Boost your listing" section, right under Item price
- Tick or untick the box, then save
- That's it. You'll see the change reflect in Browse rankings within a few minutes.
Should I boost?
Boost tends to pay off on items that are priced fairly for the market but haven't sold in a while, and on listings from newer sellers who don't yet have followers or repeat buyers. If your item is unique, well-photographed, and priced right, boost accelerates the outcome. If the price or photos are the real blocker, boost won't fix that.
